Our MHS Health And Immunity Guide: COVID-19

March 15, 2020

My Health Studio has always been much more than a "fitness studio" to us. It is our community and we think of our members as family. You have made us better people and many of us have been together through good and bad times.

My Health Studio is also your community. As a vital part of our family, we want to support you and to be a lighthouse for you. We have always conducted business in this way and it is our mission to continue.

We want to make sure you know that we are open during normal business hours this week at MHS. We are staying informed with up-to-date information regarding the Coronavirus and we assure you that our team is doing everything we can to make sure that My Health Studio provides you with a clean and safe environment. We strongly encourage you to take care of yourselves AND to keep up your exercise routine. We want to help you with that!

A couple of action items to help you stay SHORED UP:

#1 Health & Immunity Guide

We have created a “Health and Immunity Guide” for you to see what we are doing…and to remind you of what you should be doing to take care of yourself right now.You can access and print it here:  "Health& Immunity Guide"

#2 Virtual Classes

Should you decide you need to stay home, we have worked out a way for you to participate in our classes. It's not perfect but, when we tested it, it worked. It is for members only and will require some set up. The good part is that we will be able to see and hear each other, so I can harass you from afar! Contact the front desk if you require this service.

Now, how can we all STEP UP:

#3 An Opportunity to Step Up and Serve

Part of the My Health Studio mission is to give back. We raise money for charities and help our community in times of need. This is one of those occasions, and we're hoping you can help us.

We're looking for volunteers among our members, friends and family to assist us in running errands for those whose immune systems are compromised (such as our MS community). This might involve picking up a prescription or groceries. If you're available and would like to help, please leave your name at the front desk. We will begin to publicize this service on social media.

In the meantime, if anything changes as far as MHS hours, class schedules, etc.,we will notify you on the MHS Facebook page as well as email (for those on our distribution list).

My Health Studio has always been a sanctuary and we want to help support you, your family and our community during these challenging times when there is so much fear and uncertainty around the globe.

We promise you that we will be a source of strength and hope for you and that WE WILL GET THROUGH THIS. Our community will come together and be stronger because of it. Just like we always have!

Adversity like this reminds us of what is most important in life: our health and relationships. So let's LIVE our lives to the fullest and LOVE on each other more than ever.

If you have any questions, please reach out to MHS directly at getfit@myhealthstudio.com. Thank you!

Your health and well being is our #1 priority, so we wanted to provide you with some tips and habits to make sure that you can stay healthy and keep up with your exercise routine. We have broken it down into few sections including what we at My Health Studio are doing to ensure the studio remains as well as steps to boosting immunity and suggestions to protect yourself from viruses.

DISCLAIMER: We are not doctors, lawyers or any other sort of credentialed expert. This is just a list of suggestions based on health sites such as the World Health Organization, CDC and the Harvard Medical School.
